Food and drinks
All meals are free and will be served in the restaurant at Voksenåsen. Water will be served at every meal (juice and milk for breakfast as well). Coffee and tea are free and available at the restaurant and outside the meeting room. If you want to order soda or other types of non-alcoholic beverages, you can buy it at the bar in the reception.
Documentation
Employees at Voksenåsen will be taking videos and photos at the conference. The pictures and videos will be used to document the conference and to rapport to our financial supporters. We also want to use the material to promote our non-profit activities on social media, on our website and in printed media. The material will not be used commercially or sold to a third party.
If you do not wish to be photographed, contact our Communication Consultant and Producer Tuva Milton Kårstad at Tuva@voksenaasen.no or +47 977 62 801.
Respect for other guests
During the conference there will be other guests at the hotel. We ask you to be considerate for them and their stay. It must be quiet at the hotel after 10 pm. Noise and disturbances at night are not tolerated.
Important! About changing rooms
In case of fire or other emergencies we need to know what rooms, the participants will be staying in. It is therefore very important that you ask an employee if you want to switch rooms, so we can change it in our booking systems. Remember that most of the times will be spent outside of the rooms, so unless it is very important to you, we do not see the need to change rooms during the conference.
Ethical Guidelines
Sexual harassment
Voksenåsen has a zero-tolerance policy on sexual harassment or other forms of unwanted sexual attention. If you experience or witness any unwanted behavior, we ask you to contact employees at the hotel immediately.
Alcohol
The conference is alcohol free, and we kindly ask you to respect that.
Voksenåsen follows Norwegian regulations when it comes to serving alcohol and we do not serve alcohol to people under 18 years old. It is not allowed to bring your own alcohol to the hotel.
No matter age, alcohol will not be served to overly intoxicated people.
We remind you that NYCD is a youth conference. Adult participants are expected to act as role models for the younger participants.
Do you need someone to talk to?
At NYCD we have several people responsible for the safety at the conference. They are all available day and night. If you have any questions, need someone to talk to or just need a hug, contact the people responsible for the conference.
You can always contact the Conference coordinator Sarah Lilleberg Safavifard at +47 412 85 203.
